Furniture Care
In principal when something dries it contracts and wood is no exception. Avoid temperature and moisture changes as this will cause the timber to swell & contract which will inturn cause the joints to loosen and panels to split or shake. We do not consider splits or shakes to be serious unless they weaken the item.  In most cases a colour matched filler will return the product to it's former glory.

For waxed furniture regular applications of a good quality furniture wax will maintain a good sheen and patina. Always work on an entire surface area and avoid localised rubbing. Work with the grain in all areas.

Liquid filled containers should be placed upon a water proof pad and heated objects should be placed on heat resistant mats. Spilled liquids will not damage polished surfaces if removed immediately with a soft dry cloth.

If the above advice is followed, combined with the high quality workmanship on all our products, you can be confident that your new furniture will continue to be a pleasure for generations to come.
